Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio is known as “America’s toughest Sheriff,” but he’s also one of the most politically powerful, with every major Republican presidential candidate courting him for an endorsement. He’s also notorious for his harsh treatment of mostly Latino immigrants. In a recent interview with a local ABC affiliate, Arpaio was asked “why” he is “racist against Latinos.” Arpaio responded, nonsensically, “Well, I’m not going to get into my personal life, and grandkids and daughter in laws.” Watch it:
