This afternoon, Newt Gingrich suspended his campaign for the Republican Party’s nomination for the presidency. While his “suspension” speech began with the usual list of thanks — and even included a self-deprecating joke at the expense of his “moon base” speech — Gingrich also launched into an extended laundry list of his own achievements, up to and including former internships.
