Who is captbuck is trying to fool -- us, or himself? The FACT is that Jesse Macbeth was not referred to by Limbaugh or anyone else until some two minutes AFTER Limbaugh referred to all soldiers who make their views against the war known as "phony soldiers." Thus, captbuck is claiming that Limbaugh used the plural "phony soldiers" to refer to a single individual who had not been mentioned before the remark and wasn't mentioned until a couple of minutes later. Limbaugh in effect admitted his guilt by playing an edited tape two days later, claiming it was the full tape, and by posting an edited transcript, claiming it was the full transcript. Since Limbaugh has been calling all Democrats traitors for a couple of years, and referred to a decorated General (Senator John Murtha) as another of those "phony soldiers" in his broadcast of the 28th, it appears that captbuck and his hero are both as phony as Jesse Macbeth.

Do you people know how to tell the truth? Rush did not call everyone in the military who opposed the war "phony soldiers". He was talking about one wannabe soldier who was a liar and should have spent much more than the five months he did in prison. Below is the description of the man Rush was talking about from Wickipedia;

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jesse MacbethJesse Adam Macbeth (b. Jesse Adam Al-Zaid,[1] in 1984) falsely claimed to be an Army Ranger and veteran of the Iraq War. He lied in alternative media interviews that he and his unit routinely committed war crimes in Iraq.[2][3] Transcripts of the video were made in English and Arabic.[4] According to the U.S. Army, there is no record of Macbeth being a Ranger,[5][6] or serving in a combat unit: he was discharged from the service after having been declared unfit or unsuitable for the Army, or both,[7] before he could complete basic training.[8]

Does this not fit the description of a "phony soldier"?

This is just another tact to try to discredit Rush and advance the liberal agenda.

Get the facts before you believe!

I am more concerned about the Senate wasting time on letters regarding talk-show hosts. Doesn't the Senate have more important things to do! I wrote a note to my Senator, chastising him wasting my vote and Senate time on this kind of bunk. Grow up!

It would be nice if they had also threatened to take Rush Limbaugh off of Armed Forces Radio. Why in the hell should our tax dollars go to airing and promoting Lush Rimblaugh's offensive and anti-American views to American soldiers in Iraq and around the globe?
