Climate Progress exceeds 100,000 unique visitors in May

Global warming is hot. But who knew it was this hot?

Climate Progress had 50,000 unique visitors in December and 20,000 last May. I don’t expect this kind of growth to continue, but then I never expected the growth of the last year in the first place.

I usually post web stats only on the anniversary of the CP’s launch and at the end of the year, but I wanted to share this milestone with all my readers and thank everyone for helping set this monthly record.

  1. Many well-deserved congratulations! Like Gristmill and RealClimate and dotearth, an indispensable stop during the day.

    Always wanted to be unique!

Can’t wait to lord it over my twin brother.

  3. Joe says:

Is your twin brother named Jack by any chance? If so, tell him to keep up the good work, but dial back the torture. ’nuff said!

    Congratulations, and well-deserved.

Quite simply the best site for global warming news on the net.

  5. David B. Benson says:

Joe — Your site meter keeps ICP address based counts?

  6. Joe says:

My webstats reports More information than I can ever possibly use. Unique visitors, visits, page views, hits + absurd amounts of information about who comes to visit.

    Did you mean ISP address?

  7. David B. Benson says:

Joe — Thanks. Yes, I suppose I did.

Anyway, I think you are doing great! :-)

Now just figure out how to caue policy makers to pay attention. :-(

  8. John Hollenberg says:

A stunningly good web site! Just discovered it after reading Lomborg’s book, then finding out he slanted/picked the facts he wanted. I will definitely be letting friends and family know about this site.

  9. Ecostew says:

Thanks for the great work and peer-reviewed science perspective.

  10. Ronald says:

I think this website is great. And oh so necessary.

The greatest hope for a reduced carbon fueled America.

My questions are on should this site be advertised for more readers? Example would be like talking it up on other websites like some movies or other commercial ventures are done?

Consider how many web possible readers in America to the number of actual readers. Room for growth.

  11. David B. Benson says:

Looks like May is going to be one of the warmest ever.
