Conclusive proof of global warming

Tulsa, April 1. The daughter of GOP Senator James Inhoof (R-OIL) competing in a recent ice-skating tournament:

Explain that away, Deniers!

I find this even more compelling than “Revealing Evidence Proves Global Warming.”

April is the cruelest month …. And April 1st the cruelest day.

    Most amusing.

    Well,

The ice just is not what it used to be!

  3. You are having too much fun, my friend.
I laughed. And watched it a second time.

It’s Oklahoma. You mean you got any ice in Oklahoma?

    It is funny.

  5. deep solar minimum
For 2008 there were no sunspots observed on 266 of the year’s 366 days (73%).
Sunspot counts for 2009 have dropped even lower. As of March 31st, there were no sunspots on 78 of the year’s 90 days (87%)
It adds up to one inescapable conclusion: “We’re experiencing a very deep solar minimum,” says solar physicist Dean Pesnell of the Goddard Space Flight Center.
“This is the quietest sun we’ve seen in almost a century,” agrees sunspot expert David Hathaway of the Marshall Space Flight Center.

A 50-year low in solar wind pressure:
A 55-year low in solar radio emissions:
A 12-year low in solar “irradiance”:

It adds up to one inescapable conclusion: “We’re experiencing a very deep solar minimum,”…

And yet this year was one of the hottest on record (for example, the springtime bloom here in N. California started in December). What’s going to happen when the sun really starts pulling out of this minimum?

Actually, probably very little difference, as I don’t think the Solar Cycle is all that significant compared to the effects of the CO2 changes.

What happened to the video? It’s not there anymore?

Let real science advise not politics

This seems to be a crucial quote from that article, which supports the view that current global warming is due to sunspot activity and not CO2 (and temps are in fact down int he last 10 years despite the article)

“Since the Space Age began in the 1950s, solar activity has been generally high,” notes Hathaway. “Five of the ten most intense solar cycles on record have occurred in the last 50 years. We’re just not used to this kind of deep calm.”

I suggest the true believers should studiously ignore this quote since it conflicts with their conviction about man-made global warming. so who are the bigots here? the “Deniers” or….?
