Unemployment In Gaza Reaches 45 Percent | A report released this week by the U.N. Agency for Palestine Refugees says unemployment in Gaza in the second half of 2010 reached 45.2 percent — one of the highest in the world. The private sector took an especially hard hit, shedding over 8,000 jobs in the second half of 2010. The Hamas-dominated public sector, meanwhile, saw a modest gain of 3 percent in the same period.
