The Obama Administration named a top lawyer at the National Security Agency as the new director of the National Counterterrorism Center. If confirmed by the Senate, Matthew Olsen will replace the current director, Michael Leiter, who has occupied the position since the Bush Administration. Before joining the NSA, Olsen was an associate deputy attorney general in the Justice Department.
