Erdoğan: Relations Between Turkey And Israel May ‘Never Become Normal Again’

Israel’s refusal to apologize to Turkey for its, according to a recent U.N. report, “excessive and unreasonable” raid on the Gaza aid flotilla last year has drawn a strong reaction from the Turkish government, including subsequently expelling Israel’s ambassador from Ankara. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also said recently that his country’s military may even escort any future aid flotillas. Erdoğan escalated his rhetoric yesterday on CNN, telling host Fareed Zakaria that if Israel does not apologize, pay compensation, and end the Gaza embargo, “relations between Turkey and Israel will never become normal again.” Watch the clip:
