Moments ago, U.S. Army General Martin Dempsey was sworn in as the country’s newest chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The move marks “the end of more than two decades when officers whose careers were born in Vietnam combat led the military,” Politico’s Charles Hobkinson notes. Outgoing chairman Adm.
