Report: Torture in Syria Amounts to Crimes Against Humanity

The Syrian government’s torture of anti-government dissidents amounts to crimes against humanity says a report from Amnesty International released yesterday. The report finds that the scale of torture in Syria is the worst the country has experienced in 30 years and in at least 276 cases documented by Amnesty International, prisoners have died as a result of torture. Amnesty has repeatedly called for the involvement of the International Criminal Court.
