Red Cross Worker Dies In Yemen Airstrike

A Yemeni staff member of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) died today in an airstrike in Yemen. It’s not immediately clear if the death of 35-year-old Hussein Saleh was due to Yemeni aircraft attacks or a U.S. drone, but Yemeni forces were reportedly attacking alleged militants in the area. The ICRC was “deeply shocked and dismayed,” the humanitarian relief group said in a statement noting that “circumstances behind this incident remain unclear.”
