A new poll released today by Knowledge Networks finds that protesters on Wall Street are winning over the public more than two of their chief targets: Wall Street and Washington. Thirty-five percent of respondents “had a favorable impression of the protest movement that began in New York City and gained support worldwide,” while the government in Washington, DC netted 21 percent. Only 16 percent of respondents had a favorable impression of Wall Street.
