"Rice University Grad Students Stage ‘Mic Check’ Protest Against Eric Cantor"

Graduate students at Rice University in Houston, Texas, acting in solidarity with Occupy Houston, used a variation of the Occupy Wall Street human microphone to protest House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) during a speech at the university last week. Since calling the Occupy Wall Street protesters and growing 99 Percent Movement “mobs” last month, Cantor has faced protests at his public speaking engagements and even canceled a speech at the University of Pennsylvania after Occupy Philly and other progressive groups organized a large, peaceful demonstration.
