"After Occupy Wall Street Eviction, Occupy DC Takes Over DC Headquarters Of Owners Of Zuccotti Park"

Yesterday, New York City Michael Bloomberg unexpectedly authorized a raid on Occupy Wall Street in Zuccotti Park in New York City, arresting hundreds and banning tents from the park.

The same day, Occupy DC, outraged at Bloomberg’s action towards protesters in New York City, took aim at Brookfield Properties, the private company that owns Zuccotti Park — interestingly, Bloomberg’s girlfriend Diana Taylor serves on its board — and which had been requesting the mayor’s action. Marchers from Occupy DC briefly took over Brookfield’s DC headquarters, nonviolently occupying it for a period of time to protest the crackdown in Zuccotti. Watch it:

The demonstration featured no arrests or reported injuries.
