99 Percent Proposals Appear In Newspaper Ad | The new media Occupy movement moved from social media into print yesterday, appearing in the pages of the San Fransisco Chronicle. True to form for the grassroots movement, the ad was crowd-funded by 99 people on the platform LoudSauce. The ad outlines the 99 Percent’s solutions to the U.S. deficit, determined nearly a month ago at Occupy Washington. The plan includes raising taxes on the extremely wealthy, reducing the military budget, creating jobs in the public sector, and strengthening and expanding Social Security and Medicare:
