Released on Monday, the Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force recommends critical investments for New York and New Jersey but overlooks the need for additional federal revenue to assist other community resilience efforts.
HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan, the Chair of the task force, said that building for the future means making "communities more resilient to emerging challenges such as rising sea levels, extreme heat, and more frequent and intense storms."
