Zimbabwean Legislator Arrested For Calling President Mugabe Gay | Zimbabwean Member of Parliament Lillian Kirenyi is currently under arrest without bail for suggesting that President Robert Mugabe is gay. The government has said that Kirenyi faces “a serious offense” and could encounter retribution from Mugabe supporters if she were released from prison. Mugabe has said gays should be punished in accordance with “African and Christian values” and called British Prime Minister David Cameron “satanic” for trying to promote LGBT equality.
