Write Sean Hannity And Demand That He Tell America That This Never Happened!

This Sunday, January 28, Fox News personality Sean Hannity is planning to air clips that ABC found unfit to include in their controversial “Path to 9/11″ docudrama. Hannity’s producer claims they are airing the clips because they “feel the American people deserve both sides” of the story. If that’s the case, let’s remind Hannity to tell his viewers that these scenes, especially a fabricated conversation between Sandy Berger and George Tenet, never happened.

The letter that thousands of Think Progress readers sent to Sean Hannity:

Mr. Hannity:

It has come to my attention that you are planning to air deleted segments of ABC’s controversial docudrama “The Path to 9/11.” As you know, these scenes were omitted from the original movie due to factual inaccuracies. If you broadcast these scenes — particularly a fabricated conversation between Sandy Berger and George Tenet that the bipartisan 9/11 Commission confirmed never occurred — I urge you to inform your audience that what they are seeing is complete fiction.

I respect your freedom, as a political commentator, to engage in a discussion of these scenes on your program. However, as a journalist, you have an obligation to the truth. Your producer, John Finley, said, “We here at Fox — and myself personally — feel the American people deserve both sides.” We can only assume Mr. Finley meant fiction versus fact.

If you air these scenes, I request that you tell America the truth: These scenes never happened in real life.

I would appreciate a prompt reply to my e-mail.
