Big Oil Stooge Glenn Beck Taking Over Larry King Live Tonight
The Think Progress mothership reports that Glenn Beck “will guest-host CNN’s Larry King Live tonight,” the same time his 7 PM CNN Headline News show repeats. This means:
In inviting Beck to host Larry King, CNN is granting Beck a monopoly over its programming for a full prime-time hour. Counting scheduled replays of both programs, Beck will be on air for a total of eight hours between 7 PM tonight and 7 AM tomorrow morning — a full third of the two networks’ combined airtime.
Beck is one of the most notorious Big Oil apologists and global warming deniers in mainstream media today, famed for his bizarre anti-polar-bear fetish.
More substantively, in just the past few months Beck has:
– Falsely claimed that “global warming now looks like it’s going to be on hold for ten years.”
– Described the disastrous coal-to-liquid gasoline technology as “good for the nation.”
– Told America to “Be thankful for big oil.”
– Promoted false smears against former Vice President Al Gore.

Glenn Beck is nothing more than a propagandist and has no place on our public airwaves. I am so disappointed in CNN for giving him a bigger soap box from which to spread his lies and deceit and sickening arrogance. He is nothing more than a Rush on TV- spouting corporate lies, demeaning our intelligence and sickening our stomachs!

Fascism lives at CNN and Beck is the leader.
So they replaced a dead guy with a guy having the IQ of a corpse.

July 24th, 2008 at 1:00 pmFor what its worth, I am an avid fan of Glenn Beck, and that is something I would like you to know. The Independents and Conservatives need to have a couple of people on air to represent them–you could surely grant us that much. For the most part, and the reason I listen to Glenn–I finally found someone who thinks as I do on most things. You would probably find that the largest percentage of the ordinary people think along those lines. They aren’t out marching, carrying placards, and yelling at Congressmen and at Veteran’s funerals, but, they WILL VOTE. They use common sense and are ‘thinkers.’ Glenn Beck is the one person who got me to CNN from Fox Network–I support the troops and the great work they are doing, and I like my news a little balanced, so, there’s no where else to find it.
About the Big Oil–we’d be in a big mess without them. Ask the Congressmen and women–they get plenty from them. And the best thing they could do for America is to get out of our way-drill now, use our natural resources, and stop our dependence on foreign countries who don’t really like us very much.
Tell Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to have the decency and to do their work honestly, and stop hampering the vote on the energy bill before them. They are too selfish to even let it come to a vote. America watches!! Let’s put Country before party, please!!! United We Stand-Divided WE Fall–and the terrorists know that.
The real truth is embedded in the metaphors, euphemisms, mythic fables and subliminal messages broadcast on the SciFi Channel.
SciFi is the home of truth and enlightenment for those who seek it. Truth is better whispered than shouted, better hidden and encoded in the heart than printed on bumper stickers.
