Gone ‘Till September

EJ Dionne speaks up for the Democratic leadership, and says they played the Iraqi supplemental as well as they could have. I don’t think I really agree, but this is the right conclusion anyway: “In a divided system, democracy can be frustratingly slow. But it usually works. Critics of the war should spend less time mourning the setbacks of May and begin organizing for a showdown in September.”
