Ruy Teixeira has a new report out showing public opinion to be broadly supportive of a liberal internationalist agenda, eager to see the United States take an approach to the world that’s more focused on securing international cooperation and building binding institutions. He’s got a few charts, I’ll reproduce just one:

Good for people. Of course I suspect that the real issue with the politics of national security is, on some level, that first you need to control the White House and then you just need to implement policies that work out okay. People probably don’t have detailed opinions about most of these topics, but they’d like to see a president who can deliver the goods.
