The Abiguity of Talking

Suzanne Goldenberg of The Guardian reports that Barack Obama may be prepared to hold talks with Hamas. Spencer Ackerman says that smells a bit truthy to him. Richard Haass, President of the CFR and rumored Obama administration mideast envoy, was on Morning Joe this morning and got asked about this story. What he said was that he thought the Obama administration would and should hold low-level “technical” talks but not high-level “political” talks with Hamas. I’ll admit to not being 100 percent clear on what that means.
