Cantor Calls on Obama Administration to Do Less to Combat Economic Crisis

Hm . . . it seems that rising star Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) thinks Democrats are “overreacting” to the economic crisis and ought to do less to try to help the economy recover:

He went on to criticize Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner’s recent statement that the biggest danger was “doing too little” to deal with the meltdown.

“Doing too much has huge, huge pitfalls as well,” he said.

I think this is criticism Obama can survive. I wonder if Cantor really wants to repeat the “fundamentals of the economy are strong” fiasco of last fall? Obviously, we’re dealing with some extremely serious problems and most people are looking for action to be as forceful as possible in response.
