Some of the press coverage will be obsessed with the fact that relatively few Republicans voted yes, but it’s important to see the way that’s intertwined with their being relatively few Republican Senators. The way the GOP would get to a majority would be by nominating more of the kind of Republicans who would vote “yes” on something like this.
