According to the UN World Food Program, four million people will needing food aid in South Sudan this year, up from one million last year. Suggesting that western governments pony up the money needed to provide the food lacks the sex appeal and moral bombast of demanding air strikes on Khartoum, but it seems to offer a very concrete and practical way to help people in need.
