"Update on Jindal’s Louisiana Purchase"

Yesterday I highlighted claims that Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal essentially blackmailed his state’s Democratic Attorney General into joining a lawsuit against the Affordable Care Act by threatening the AG’s office with staff cuts if he didn’t play ball. Jindal’s press secretary got in touch with my colleague Amanda Terkel to deny the story:

Jindal’s Press Secretary Kyle Plotkin contacted ThinkProgress and said that the Eunice News story on the deal with Caldwell is “completely false.” “There’s no truth to it,” he said. “The attorney general joined a lawsuit, and we supported it.”

That would be a strange thing for a newspaper to make up, but for the record Jindal denies it.
