I don’t refer to members of the Tea Party movement as “teabaggers” because I think that’s (a) juvenile and (b) and insult to the men and women of the teabagging community. That said, there’s something a bit rich about Tea Partiers’ complaints at the use of the term which, as Dave Weigel details in this post, they’ve certainly invited with their own actions. Here, for example, is the classic Weigel photo that launched a thousand dumb jokes:

If you show at public events with signs about how you want to teabag people, then you’re going to get called a “teabagger.”
