Anti-Gay Group Will Co-Sponsor Tonight’s Presidential Debate

The Human Rights Campaign highlights that the National Organization for Marriage — a group that spends millions of dollars opposing same-sex marriage across the country — is one of the cosponsors of tonight’s presidential debate at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference. Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, and Newt Gingrich have all signed NOM’s pledge to support a federal constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage and to investigate so-called “harassment” of those who oppose equality. As for Ron Paul, NOM has spent over $140,000 running ads against his campaign in Iowa and New Hampshire.
