Here’s a good post from John Wonderlich at the Sunlight Foundation about how even if you somehow did get everyone to agree that CSPAN should broadcast legislative negotiations that there’s no way to make this work. If you had a specific meeting in mind, you could cover the meeting. But that wouldn’t stop people from organizing other meetings, or phone calls, or meetings between staffers, or whatever you like. It’s integral to the process that people are going to want to do some negotiation away from prying eyes — it’s the only way to make the negotiating process work.
