Baghdad hit by deadliest attack in three months.

A car bomb exploded in a busy market in a mainly Shiite neighborhood in Baghdad today and killed at least 51 people, making it “the deadliest such attack in three months.” The blast “shattered the relative calm in the capital amid stepped up security measures” and came just as “the Iraqi parliament announced it will start holding sessions outside the U.S.-protected Green Zone in the fall.”
