Moments ago, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) held a news conference with his Republican colleagues to tout the Cut, Cap, and Balance bill passed by the House. Reporters peppered an agitated Boehner with questions about a potential deal with the White House, but the speaker dodged them all. Rep. Steve LaTourette (R-OH) reports that Boehner told the GOP caucus that there is no agreement in private. “He’s feeling that he’s getting nowhere fast” and “I don’t even think there’s anything productive happening,” LaTourette reported.
