Ted Cruz dropped out of the presidential race today after badly losing Indiana, a state that he staked his campaign on, to Donald Trump.

The decision makes Donald Trump the presumptive Republican nominee. Cruz told supporters that he didn’t see a viable path to the nomination.
Cruz ended his campaign with a bang, calling Trump a “pathological liar,” a “narcissist,” and a “serial philanderer.”
It wasn’t always this way. Cruz spent most of last year praising Trump and promising never to attack him.
In recent days, Cruz named Carly Fiorina as his pick for vice president and played up the dangers of transgender people using the bathroom. Neither move changed the dynamic of a race.
