British Passports To Exclude Male/Female Designations

By the end of the year, U.K. passports will be more inclusive of same-sex families and people who are transgender. Forms currently require applicants to identify a “mother” and a “father,” but the new form will allow for “parent one” and “parent two.” In addition, the passports will not indicate sex whatsoever, which will prevent transgender people from facing the scrutiny of their perceived gender not matching their gender marker.
