D.C. City Council Passes Same-Sex Divorce Bill

On Tuesday, the D.C. City Council approved a measure that wold allow same-sex couples who married in Washington to get divorced “even if they are not living in the city.” “Under current law, one member of the divorcing couple must live in the city for six months before starting divorce proceedings.” The bill now goes to Mayor Vincent C.
