EPA Punts On Greenhouse Rules

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will not meet a Sept. 30 deadline to issue rules for greenhouse pollution from power plants, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson admitted Wednesday. “Although we are not going to make the date at the end of the month, we are still working and will be shortly announcing a new schedule,” Jackson said. “I am very pleased by today’s announcement that one of the EPA’s most economically damaging rules will be delayed,” Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) said.
