From Pew: “Most Americans also are satisfied with the ideological tenor of Obama’s appointments: 68% say they are ‘about right,’ while 15% say they are too liberal and just 3% say they are too conservative. In particular, just 1% of liberal Democrats say Obama’s choices are too conservative, despite grumbling among some activists on the left.”
Not only is liberal dissatisfaction with Obama’s appointments a pretty marginal phenomenon, but conservative dissatisfaction is at an incredibly low level. The honeymoon, in other words, is still in full force as of the time of this survey. The question is how far into the actual governing phase can it be pushed, and what sorts of policy measures can be passed while it lasts.
