Five State Solution

I don’t know about the details of the Thomas Friedman peace plan for the Middle East, but I do think he’s right to stress the importance of full involvement by the Arab states. Their absence from the process at the end of the Clinton administration was one of the fatal flaws in that process, and then when the Arab League did step up in 2002, Israel wasn’t interested and the United States was AWOL.
