Good Times

Yesterday, Francis Fukuyama published a column in The Guardian and Jonah Goldberg accused him of contradicting something he wrote in his excellent book, America at the Crossroads. Today, after having, um, read the Fukuyama colum (!) Goldberg concedes that this isn’t the case. With that sort of record of good-faith engagement with his adversaries, it’s a miracle Goldberg didn’t win the coveted Jon Chait award for “most intellectually honest conservative writer.”

UPDATE: I see Isaac Chotiner was on the non-contradiction yesterday, but he didn’t seem to take the “hadn’t read the article yet” factor into account.
