- The media swarm will be back at the U.S. Supreme Court today to see whether the high court hands down its opinion on ObamaCare, on Arizona’s immigration reform law, or on other key cases. The Court is expected to wrap up its session next week.
- In response to Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY)’s speech last week decrying the IRS for ensuring political groups aren’t masquerading as 501(c)(4) civic organizations, campaign finance reform advocate Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) accused McConnell of “trying to pressure the IRS into not doing their job.”
- The North Carolina Senate sent its bill to gut the state’s Racial Justice Act to the governor. The bill appears to have veto-proof support in both the state’s House and Senate.
- Attorney General Eric Holder called yesterday’s party-line vote by Chairman Darrell Issa’s (R-CA) House Oversight Committee to recommend a Contempt of Congress citation “an extraordinary, unprecedented and entirely unnecessary action, intended to provoke an avoidable conflict between Congress and the Executive Branch.”
- And finally, a New Mexico judge has ruled that an online website authorities claimed a former University of New Mexico President and a New Jersey physics professor used to run a multi-state prostitution ring was indeed legal.
