On July 18, 2016, Michael Flynn gave a speech at the Republican National Convention in which he bashed Hillary Clinton and encouraged the crowd to chant, “LOCK HER UP!”
“Lock her up, that’s right,” Flynn said, as he began clapping along with the chant. “Lock her up… you guys are good. Damn right! Exactly right. There’s nothing wrong with that.”
Life comes at you fast. On Monday — less than two year after delivering that speech and following a very brief stint as President Trump’s national security adviser — Flynn, who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI last December and faces up to six months in prison, entered federal court while onlookers chanted, “LOCK HIM UP!”

At question during Tuesday’s presentencing hearing was when Flynn, who has been cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the Trump campaign following his guilty plea, will find out just how long he’ll be locked up for, if at all.
According to Zoe Tillman of BuzzFeed, U.S. Federal Judge Emmitt Sullivan told Flynn that he could be sentenced as soon as late October.
