I was trying to go to sleep when the dogs decided to be extremely loud downstairs. What was up? Well, Wreck was clamoring to be allowed into the back yard. So I let him go. Once outside the source of the commotion became clear — a large rat was about. Wreck attacked, and dispatched him with considerably greater speed than during the lengthy — yet legendary — Dog Versus Crab episode. The results are rather gruesome, but all else being equal the world seems better off with one less live rat. Spencer’s dog Kingsley seemed uninterested in the whole thing and observed from the safety of the kitchen.
