GOP Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan wants to phase out Medicare, slash Medicaid, cut education, increase taxes on the middle class and use this money to pay for tax cuts for the very rich. So the fact that he appears to be unfamiliar with the Twentieth Amendment to the Constitution is hardly the worst mistake he has ever made. Nevertheless, Molly Ball catches him claiming that “on November 6,” President Obama will not be president. The Constitution is very clear that “[t]he terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January.” So, absent a national tragedy, President Obama will remain in office until either January 20, 2013 or January 20, 2017.
