‘Parents For Occupy Wall Street’ To Hold Sleepover Tonight In Zuccotti Park In Solidarity With Their Kids

Tonight, the hundreds of mostly young people who have been camped out in Zuccotti Park in New York City for more than a month will receive some backup from an unlikely source — their parents. “Parents For Occupy Wall Street” will be holding a special solidarity sleepover tonight with their kids. Here’s a flyer for the event:

“Don’t hide in fear. Stand up proud and peacefully for your family. We hold our children’s future’s in our hands! We are the 99%,” the group explains on its site. “There’s safety in numbers and WE the parents have those numbers.”

The group is also encouraging parents to join their kids and others across the country and has set up a portion of its website for people to start their own groups and events.
