POLL: Minnesota Amendment Still A ‘Dead Heat’

A new KSTP/SurveyUSA poll released yesterday shows that the race is still tight for Minnesota’s proposed constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, with 47 percent and favor and 46 percent opposed, with a 4.3 percent margin of error. Though the polling is close, anything short of 50 percent approval on election day will count as a win for equality advocates. Minnesota law requires that ballot amendments receive a full 50 percent of affirmative votes, so any voter, including the 7 percent who are undecided, who skips the question will count as a “No” vote.
