Rove neglects to mention Bush’s name once.

Karl Rove, President Bush’s former chief political strategist, delivered a 3,200 word speech yesterday rebuking Democratic presidential candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. One name Rove did not mention? George W. Bush. NPR’s David Welna attended Rove’s speech and asked one attendee, South Dakota national committeewoman Mary Jean Jensen, what her reaction was to that glaring omission:

WELNA: I didn’t hear Karl Rove mention his former boss possibly once during his speech.

JENSEN: Ahh…you know. [Sigh.] That’s sad, but true. But why aren’t we? He’s a great President! As Republicans, we’ve got to be mentioning his name and what he’s accomplished.
