An aide to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) was arrested Monday for domestic abuse following his wife’s allegations that he rolled her up in a carpet, beat and kicked her. Michael J. Brennan, Rubio’s Southwest Florida regional director, is in custody and scheduled to stand trial on February 14. Rubio’s office says they have received and accepted Brennan’s resignation letter.
