I’m not sure what’s more unflattering. Lady Gaga’s machine gun bra in the video for “Alejandro,” which I actually think, is a relatively fascinating entry in the aesthetic she’s building that rejects the possibility of emotional intimacy and the desirability of sex:
Or the cupcake bras in Katy Perry’s upcoming “California Gurls” video, which achieve what I’d previously thought was impossible, and make her considerable assets look saggy:
But despite the fact that there’s big-for-Hollywood controversy over whether Katy and Gaga now have a Bra Rivalry, it seems more like Katy should be worry about accusations that she’s biting the video for “Fergalicious.” Maybe the real question is this: does Snoop or will.i.am make a more disconcerting Candyman?
