– Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has once again rejected the wording of a proposed amendment to repeal the state’s constitutional ban on same-sex marriage because of procedural irregularities and ambiguities.

– A new Change.org petition calls on the Apple iTunes store to no longercensor the word “bisexual” from app development.

– The American Bar Association House of Delegates has passed a resolution urging governments to ban the use of “gay panic” and “trans panic” defenses by criminal defendants.

German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle is the latest official to publicly admonish Russia’s treatment of gay people.

– Adding to the confusing back-and-forth, Russia’s Interior Ministry, which controls the police force, has confirmed that the law banning “gay propaganda” very much will be enforced during the Sochi 2014 Olympics.

– Russian media official Dmitry Kiselev, who said that gay people “are unsuitable for a continuation of life,” now claims that he’s not homophobic, because he has enough gay friends not to be labeled a homophobe. Still, he supports the law because, “I’m strongly against dragging children into homosexual activities. Because according to [Sigmund] Freud any child is bisexual.”
