University Of Buffalo’s Christian Club Kicks Out Gay Student

An openly-gay sophomore at the University of Buffalo was forced to resign as treasurer of the university’s Intervarsity Christian Fellowship “because of his refusal to accept Biblical scripture — specifically, those Bible passages that condemn homosexuality,” according to the Spectrum, the school’s newspaper. The group — which is a chapter of a national student-run Evangelical ministry — “requires its executive board members to sign a ‘basis of faith,’ a statement affirming certain Christian beliefs.”
