Wallace uses right-wing buzzwords to fearmonger on EFCA, says it ‘eliminates the right to a secret ballot.’

Today on Fox News Sunday, host Chris Wallace asked House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) about the Employee Free Choice Act. Instead of calling the bill by its name, Wallace used a string of rightwing buzzwords to describe it, calling it a favorite of “Big Labor” and falsely insisting its aim was to “eliminate the right to a secret ballot”:

WALLACE: Big Labor’s top priority is what’s called union card check, and that would be eliminating the right to a secret ballot in determining whether or not you’re gonna organize, unionize, as a working place. … Is there a compromise out there, or are you prepared to take away the secret ballot?

When Hoyer called Wallace out for employing the conservative tropes, Wallace shot back, “Both sides have their euphemisms.” Hoyer replied, “And you use one side!”
